The “donkey” is a tender-hearted animal. They really can’t stand to be ignored, or neglected by people (owners). Remember that they are herd animals , thus, do not flourish in isolation for any length of time. They can grieve like people if they lose a partner, or are left alone. When you go to halter a donkey, some nearly put their head in the halter for you. If they could talk they might say “Take me, take me.” Once you have owned a donkey it is very hard to part with it.
At Hawkhill Miniatures, we ensure that:
- All our donkeys find the best home for them
- All our donkeys are registered with the Canadian Donkey and Mule Association ( unless they are rescue animals)
- Registration papers are transferred to new owners in a timely fashion
- Every donkey sold will leave Hawkhill with a halter and lead
- Every animal sold will be up-to-date with their hoof care, deworming and shots
- Transportation is arranged if need be
- Ownership by installment is negotiable
- We consider all offers for purchase of a donkey
