Horses:
The goal of Hawkhill Miniatures is to produce, show and sell World/National Champion quality show horses with refinement, excellent conformation, top notch bloodlines and color. To do this, we have purchased high quality breeding stock from parts of the United States and Canada. Some are World/ National Champions; others are the outstanding get of Champions.
Though we have not tended to focus on any particular bloodlines, the foundation stallion bloodlines that can be found in our herd includes: Orion Light Vant Huttenest, Boones Little Buckeroo, Gold Melody Boy, Bond Showboy, Hemlock Brooks Eygptian King, Rowdy, Lazy N Red Boy, Komokos Little Husseler, Prince Tennessee Monashee, and Hobby Horse Dynamite are well represented in our herd.
Other top bloodlines included in our stock are: Alvadars Double Destiny, Little Kings Buckeroo Times Two, Cross Countrys Call Me Sir, Dell Teras Snowman, Bond Sir Galahad, Lazy H Dark Storm, Stouts Mister Pride, Charles Legacy Royale, Dell Teras Moon Man, NFCs Nashville, Brewers Orion Legacy, and Dell Teras Starman.
Donkeys:
We only have five jennets and three geldings left. One of the jennets is a small standard and all the rest of the donkeys are miniatures. They come in a variety of colors: black, grey dun, and light chestnut. There are some bloodlines that trace back to Sicilian imports. Red Lightening’s bloodlines are also present in our herd.
All donkey breeding is done off the farm. Geldings are kept to protect our herds, or sold as pets. They can be trained for driving as well.
